Choosing a Resort Furniture Manufacturer for Koh Samui and Phuket
· WisutWood, full-cycle solid wood factory in Surat Thani · Service area and delivery
In short: What decides an island resort job is not the price per piece but the distance to site, how island freight is scheduled, whether the factory can repeat one spec across every room, and the project paperwork. A factory that is already in southern Thailand delivers to Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao as ordinary work. See work on Koh Samui and work in Phuket, or get an estimate.
1. Distance and delivery slots
Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao are all in Surat Thani province itself, and Phuket is likewise inside our normal delivery-to-site area. Island work has to be planned around the vehicle ferry and the sequence of work on site. Freight to the islands is charged at cost — both the ferry and the road distance — and stated in the quotation. See where we deliver.
2. Repeating one spec across every room
A resort is judged on whether room 15 matches room 1 — in size, wood tone and finish. Ask the factory whether a sample room can be built first, and how the wood tone is kept consistent across several production batches. See resort and hotel work and hotel beds and headboards.
3. Species for a seaside site
Heavy indoor use and exposed outdoor positions call for different timbers. The factory should advise per position rather than specifying one species for the whole property. Compare them in the wood species guide.
4. Project paperwork
Corporate purchasing needs supporting documents. Check at the outset that the factory can issue everything the project's accounts team requires; the full conditions are on our terms of service page.
5. Agree the scope early
WisutWood manufactures and delivers to site only — no installation and no on-site finishing — and your project's own crew installs. Agreeing that at the start makes the site programme much easier to plan.
Frequently asked questions
Can you deliver furniture to Koh Samui? Yes. Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao are inside our normal delivery-to-site area. Island freight is charged at cost and stated in the quotation.
What difference does a factory in the south make for island work? A shorter distance makes delivery slots easier to fit around the ferry, and it is far easier to come and see sample work at the factory.
Do you work in Phuket, Krabi and Phang Nga? Yes — all three are inside our normal delivery-to-site area. Each province has its own page, reachable from the delivery page.
Who installs once it is made? Your project's own crew. We manufacture and deliver to site; we have no installation service.
