Solid Wood Decking and Pool Decks Made to Size
WisutWood makes decking for balconies, pool decks and timber walkways from hardwoods that stand up to sun and humidity, which suits seafront resorts, hotels, villas and homes. Decking is priced per square metre and ships planed and unfinished from our Surat Thani factory to sites across the upper south and the islands, ready for your own carpenters to install and coat. Projects outside that area are delivered nationwide by chartered truck.

Questions before you order Wood decking
How big should the gap between solid wood decking boards be?
Leave about 3–5 mm (0.3–0.5 cm) between boards so water drains and the timber can move. Too tight and the deck can buckle when damp; too wide and small objects and heels catch in the gap.
What joist spacing does decking need?
Solid wood decking 1–1½ inch thick usually sits on joists about 35–40 cm apart. Heavily used areas or thinner boards want the joists closer together, and the deck should be raised so air can circulate underneath.
Solid wood or WPC for decking?
WPC needs less care and handles water well, while solid wood gives a natural feel, can be repaired and resanded one board at a time, and holds its value over the long term. Choose by use and budget; our article comparing solid wood and WPC goes into detail.
Which species suits a poolside or seafront deck?
Use a hardwood that tolerates damp, such as Teng or Takhian Thong, with grade 304 stainless screws and an oil or UV stain, then maintain the surface on a cycle.
Can you deliver decking to other provinces or outside the south?
We deliver to sites across the upper south as standard (Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Krabi, Phuket, Phang Nga, Ranong, Chumphon, Phatthalung and the islands). For larger projects outside that area we charter trucks and deliver nationwide. Quoted prices do not include freight, which is estimated from distance and volume. We manufacture and deliver only. We do not install; your own carpenters do the fitting on site.
