Turned Wood Columns, Temple Woodwork and Solid Wood Furniture Made to Order

WisutWood turns round wooden columns and produces ordination hall columns, sala frames, doors, windows and solid wood furniture for temples and religious sites to drawing — for example the turned round columns around the ordination hall at Wat Pattanaram in Surat Thani. Large hardwood sections are sourced per job. Everything is made at our full-cycle wood factory and delivered to temples across upper southern Thailand, with chartered nationwide delivery for larger work.

The brief for Temples / Religious Sites

  • Columns and structure need large hardwood sections that are hard to source
  • Turning has to follow the drawing and match column for column
  • Traditional Thai architecture has to keep its original forms
  • The timber has to be legal and fully documented

Furniture and pieces we make

  • Turned round columns / ordination hall columns
  • Sala frames / timber posts and beams
  • Doors / windows / louvred shutters
  • Timber flooring / ceilings / trim
  • Benches / tables / storage cabinets

Every piece is made to the size, species and drawing you specify — nothing is off the shelf.

Questions before you order — Temples / Religious Sites

Do you turn round wooden columns for ordination halls or salas?

Yes. The factory turns round columns to the diameter, length and drawing you specify — for example the turned round columns around the ordination hall at Wat Pattanaram in Surat Thani.

Do you have timber large enough for ordination hall columns?

Large hardwood sections are sourced per job. The diameter and length both affect sourcing and labour, so talk to our team with the drawings early so the sourcing can be planned.

Is the timber for temple work legally documented?

Yes. WisutWood can issue sawn timber control documents and proof of origin. See the wood standards and documentation page for details.

Do turned columns arrive already finished?

Woodwork ships turned or planed smooth and unfinished, with no factory coating. The temple carpenter or contractor paints or coats it once it is in place.

Can you deliver large timber columns to a temple in another province?

We deliver to site across upper southern Thailand as a matter of course (Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Krabi, Phuket, Phang Nga, Ranong, Chumphon, Phatthalung and the islands). Large projects outside that area are delivered nationwide by chartered truck. Quoted prices exclude freight, which is worked out from distance and volume. We manufacture and deliver only, with no installation service — your own carpenter fits the work.
