Made-to-Order Timber Sun Battens and External Cladding (Wood Façades) for Projects
WisutWood saws and planes sun battens, louvre panels and external timber cladding in volume for building façades at resorts, hotels and cafés. Every piece in the batch is planed to the same face width, thickness and length you specify. It ships planed and unfinished from our Surat Thani factory for the project carpenter to fit and coat, delivered to site across upper southern Thailand; projects outside that area go nationwide by chartered truck.

Which wood suits external sun battens?
Work in direct sun and rain should use a stable, moisture-resistant species such as teak (enquire, sourced to order) or Takhian Thong (in stock), with the timber re-coated periodically once it is up.
How wide should the gaps between battens be?
Most jobs leave 1–3 cm, following the drawings, so water and air can move through and moisture does not build up and twist the timber. The actual spacing should be set by your designer according to the sun orientation and the privacy you want.
Can we order battens in volume for a whole building?
Yes. The factory saws and planes battens to one face size across the entire batch, to the dimensions you specify, sold by the length or made up into panels to drawing. Send the sizes, quantities and the province of the site for a price.
How is external timber battening maintained?
Real wood in the sun greys naturally over time. To hold the colour, apply a UV coating and repeat it on a schedule. The factory ships the timber planed and unfinished, and the project carpenter coats it once it is up.
Can you deliver timber battens to another province?
We deliver to site across upper southern Thailand as a matter of course (Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Krabi, Phuket, Phang Nga, Ranong, Chumphon, Phatthalung and the islands). Large projects outside that area are delivered nationwide by chartered truck. Quoted prices exclude freight, which is worked out from distance and volume. We manufacture and deliver only, with no installation service — your own carpenter fits the work.
