Structural Timber Kits Made to Drawings — Villas, Bungalows, Cafés and Salas for Resorts and Hotels
WisutWood cuts the structural timber for a whole building to the architect’s and engineer’s drawings — posts, beams, joists, rafters, purlins, floor and wall framing, flooring, cladding, ceilings, stairs, doors, windows and decking — for villas, bungalows, timber cafés, salas and other buildings in a resort or hotel. Everything is cut and planed to the bill of quantities at our Surat Thani factory and delivered to site across southern Thailand and the islands, for the project’s own contractor to erect. The furniture that goes inside the same building can be made here too.
What to think through before you order
- The sections of the posts, beams and joists have to be set by the project’s engineer
- Several buildings in one project have to come out identical
- The timber has to be dry enough before it is framed up, so it twists and checks less
- Shipping to an island has to be planned around ferry slots and the sequence of work on site
What we make
- Structural kits for timber bungalows and villas
- Salas and garden pavilions
- Timber cafés
- Decked verandas around the building
- Stairs and timber balustrades
- Timber doors and windows
- The furniture for the same building
Every piece is made to the size, species and drawing you specify — nothing is off the shelf.
Woodwork used in related projects
Wood species that suit Timber Building Kits
- Takhian Thong In stock Moisture-resistant, suited to seaside work · figures are "merawan" trade-group values
- Teng On request / sourced Very hard, well suited to exterior decking · figures are "balau" trade-group values tested at ~40% MC (not directly comparable with 12%)
- Makha Mong On request / sourced Strong with attractive figure
- Sadao Thiam In stock The mill's main timber · figures come from a 10-year plantation study (they vary with tree age) — awaiting the factory's own test results
The species and the sections used in the structure must follow what the project’s engineer specifies · every piece ships planed and unfinished, with no factory coating

How long does a project take to produce?
Roughly 7-30 working days after the design is confirmed and the deposit is paid, depending on the design and the number of pieces. The actual time for each job is stated in the quotation.
Is there a minimum order for project work?
We take on jobs with a total order value of 15,000 baht or more (this is a condition for taking the job on, not a product price).
Can you deliver to the islands, and how is freight charged?
Freight to the islands is charged at cost: both the ferry (vehicle barge) and the road distance. It is stated in the quotation.
Can you build to our architect’s drawings and repeat the same spec in every room?
Yes. We build from whatever your architect or interior designer sends — drawing files, reference images or a BOQ — and repeat the same spec across every room, keeping dimensions, species, tone and coating system consistent across the project. A first sample piece can be approved before the production run starts.
Can we see sample work and visit the factory before deciding?
You are welcome to book a visit to see real timber and sample work and tour the factory, during working days and hours.
Questions before you order — Timber Building Kits
Do you build whole timber houses for resorts?
We make the structural timber parts for the whole building to your drawings and deliver them to site, for the project’s own contractor to assemble and erect. We are a factory that manufactures and delivers: there is no installation service and we do not take on construction contracts.
Which timber suits a beachfront bungalow?
Structure and floors that take sun and rain usually call for a dense hardwood such as takhian thong (in stock), teng or makha (quoted and sourced per job); indoor work can use sadao to keep the budget down. Whatever you pick, the final species and sections have to be signed off by the project’s engineer — the wood guide compares them side by side.
What drawings do you need before you can price it?
Architectural and structural drawings, or a bill of quantities. If there are no drawings yet, send reference photos with the width, length and height and the number of buildings; our team will frame up the timber schedule and confirm the real price once the drawings arrive.
Can you make several identical buildings?
Yes — repeat work is what the factory does best. Every building is cut and planed to the same schedule, so dimensions, species and sections match across the whole project.
Can you deliver a timber kit to another province?
We deliver to site across upper southern Thailand as a matter of course (Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Krabi, Phuket, Phang Nga, Ranong, Chumphon, Phatthalung and the islands). Large projects outside that area are delivered nationwide by chartered truck. Quoted prices exclude freight, which is worked out from distance and volume. We manufacture and deliver only, with no installation service — your own carpenter fits the work.

Why Resort Woodwork and Furniture Should Come from One Factory
Ordering the building's woodwork and its furniture from one factory keeps the wood tone and the spec together, gives you one point of contact, and lets everything ship in one run.
