WisutWood saws, planes and turns solid timber columns to drawing — turned round columns, square posts, beams and hardwood structural members for hotel and resort lobbies, salas, ordination halls and timber houses. Examples include the turned round columns in the Banana Fan Sea Resort lobby on Koh Samui and the columns at Wat Pattanaram. Everything ships planed or turned smooth from our Surat Thani factory to site across upper southern Thailand; projects outside that area are delivered nationwide by chartered truck.

Do you turn round wooden columns to drawing?
Yes. The factory turns round columns to the diameter, length and profile you specify, for lobbies, salas and ordination halls — for example the turned columns at Banana Fan Sea Resort on Koh Samui and at Wat Pattanaram.
Who decides the size of the posts and beams?
Section sizes should be set by the project engineer or designer, based on the spans and the loads carried. The factory then saws and planes the timber to that specification.
Which species suit posts and beams?
Dense hardwoods that carry load well and resist termites: Teng, Daeng or Makha Mong (enquire, sourced to order), or Takhian Thong (in stock). The choice follows the loads, the sizes you need and the budget.
How are timber posts and beams priced?
By timber volume in cubic feet (thickness × width × length in metres × 0.0228), multiplied by the price per cubic foot for the species, plus the labour for sawing or turning. Sections larger or longer than the standard range carry extra labour according to difficulty. You can work it out on the estimate page.
Can you deliver timber posts and beams to another province?
We deliver to site across upper southern Thailand as a matter of course (Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Krabi, Phuket, Phang Nga, Ranong, Chumphon, Phatthalung and the islands). Large projects outside that area are delivered nationwide by chartered truck. Quoted prices exclude freight, which is worked out from distance and volume. We manufacture and deliver only, with no installation service — your own carpenter fits the work.
