Sun Loungers and Poolside Timber Furniture for Resorts
WisutWood makes sun loungers, poolside chairs, daybeds, side tables and full poolside sets to your drawings for resorts, hotels and rental villas. Furniture beside a pool or the sea takes sun, rain and salt air all year, so the species and the coating system matter more than the shape — our team helps you pick both for the actual spot. Built at our Surat Thani factory and delivered to site across southern Thailand and the islands.
What to think through before you order
- Sun, rain and salt air age the surface faster than anything indoors
- The deck around a pool is permanently wet, so feet and contact points have to shed water
- Pieces have to be liftable and storable before a storm or during a closure
- The annual re-coating cycle has to be planned from the moment the species is chosen
What we make
- Sun loungers
- Poolside daybeds
- Lounge chairs and armchairs
- Outdoor side and coffee tables
- Poolside dining sets
- Benches and towel racks
Every piece is made to the size, species and drawing you specify — nothing is off the shelf.
Woodwork used in related projects
Wood species that suit Poolside Furniture
- Teak On request / sourced The gold standard for durability, naturally termite-resistant
- Takhian Thong In stock Moisture-resistant, suited to seaside work · figures are "merawan" trade-group values
- Teng On request / sourced Very hard, well suited to exterior decking · figures are "balau" trade-group values tested at ~40% MC (not directly comparable with 12%)
- Sadao Thiam In stock The mill's main timber · figures come from a 10-year plantation study (they vary with tree age) — awaiting the factory's own test results
Outdoor pieces beside a pool or the sea need a weather-resistant species and re-coating on a cycle — not a one-off finish · we can coat at the factory, but an outdoor surface has to be maintained

What project owners ask us first
How long does a project take to produce?
Roughly 7-30 working days after the design is confirmed and the deposit is paid, depending on the design and the number of pieces. The actual time for each job is stated in the quotation.
Is there a minimum order for project work?
We take on jobs with a total order value of 15,000 baht or more (this is a condition for taking the job on, not a product price).
Can you deliver to the islands, and how is freight charged?
Freight to the islands is charged at cost: both the ferry (vehicle barge) and the road distance. It is stated in the quotation.
Can you build to our architect’s drawings and repeat the same spec in every room?
Yes. We build from whatever your architect or interior designer sends — drawing files, reference images or a BOQ — and repeat the same spec across every room, keeping dimensions, species, tone and coating system consistent across the project. A first sample piece can be approved before the production run starts.
Can we see sample work and visit the factory before deciding?
You are welcome to book a visit to see real timber and sample work and tour the factory, during working days and hours.
Questions before you order — Poolside Furniture
Which timber lasts beside a pool?
Outdoor pieces that take sun, rain and salt air call for a weather-resistant species such as teak (quoted and sourced per job), or a dense hardwood like takhian thong or teng, re-coated on a cycle. A spot that is shaded all day gives you a wider choice than one in full sun; the wood guide compares them.
How do you look after wooden sun loungers?
Rinse salt and chlorine off with clean water regularly, wipe them dry, and re-coat on the cycle you chose. Outdoor timber left alone fades to a natural grey, which can be sanded back and re-coated.
Can you make matching loungers for the whole pool?
Yes. The set is built to one drawing with matching dimensions, wood tone and coating, and the rest of the resort’s furniture can be made in the same run.
What do you need to price a poolside set?
How many of each piece, the sizes you want or reference photos, where they will stand (shaded, full sun or beside the sea) and the province of the site. You can also run a per-piece estimate straight away on the estimate page.
Can you deliver a poolside set to an island?
We deliver to site across upper southern Thailand as a matter of course (Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Krabi, Phuket, Phang Nga, Ranong, Chumphon, Phatthalung and the islands). Large projects outside that area are delivered nationwide by chartered truck. Quoted prices exclude freight, which is worked out from distance and volume. We manufacture and deliver only, with no installation service — your own carpenter fits the work.
