Beyond that area, large projects are shipped anywhere in Thailand by chartered truck (freight quoted by distance and volume).

Yes — an integrated timber factory where our own team handles every step, from sawing and kiln drying to planing, then woodwork across 10 systems, solid-wood furniture and surface coating (furniture and individual pieces only). We have worked with wood since 1992 (B.E. 2535), on homes, made-to-order work and projects.

Yes, cut to your sizes. In stock right now are takhian thong and sadao thiam (finger-jointed rubberwood for furniture); other species such as teng, daeng, makha mong and yang na are quoted and sourced per job. Timber is priced by volume (cubic feet).

We coat and finish furniture and individual pieces only, with two systems: lacquer and food-grade wax. Woodwork (flooring, walls, ceilings, structure and so on) ships planed and unfinished — your own team finishes it after installation.

Our main work is made-to-order woodwork and solid-wood furniture, which includes Thai mortise-and-tenon joinery, selective carved detailing and turned columns for Thai and Thai-contemporary pieces built to the agreed design. For engraved images or lettering on wood — signs, gifts and keepsakes — we use a laser under our sister brand Furnale (furnale.com). For a specific carved pattern, send a drawing or reference photo and our team will quote it per job.

Yes. One piece or a few go by private carrier at cost, and for project quantities we charter a truck anywhere in Thailand. Freight is always itemised on the quotation.

Freight to the islands is charged at cost: both the ferry (vehicle barge) and the road distance. It is stated in the quotation. For island work, allow time for the ferry schedule and plan delivery slots against the site timeline well ahead.

Before you order, we send the quotation and concept images (overall sizes). Production drawings with every dimension are handed over after you place the order, as the design is our copyright. A design & take-off fee, as stated in the quotation, applies if the design is used without ordering with us.

There is no minimum number of pieces, but we take on jobs with a total order value of 15,000 baht or more — that can be one large piece for a home or several items combined to reach the total. We also take on large quantities for resorts, shops and projects. The price per piece depends on the quantity, the design and the timber species. Roughly 7-30 working days after the design is confirmed and the deposit is paid, depending on the design and the number of pieces. Coated work takes longer than bare wood. The actual time for each job is stated in the quotation.

The time depends on the type of work, the quantity, how complex the design is, the timber species and the coating system. Work that has to be coated takes longer than bare wood, because finishing involves several steps and each coat has to dry and cure — especially the lacquer system. Our team states a clear production and delivery date in the quotation once the design and quantity are settled. If you have a deadline, tell the team in advance so they can schedule the work to meet it.

WisutWood's work is made to order through a quotation, so there is no cash on delivery (COD). Payment is a 50% deposit when the design is confirmed and production is ordered, with the balance paid before or on handover, by transfer to the company account. The company is VAT-registered and can issue tax invoices and receipts. The payment terms are set out in each job's quotation. Solid wood is strong and hard-wearing, can be repaired, sanded back and refinished, and lasts longer. Substitute materials cost less but usually do not handle humidity well and are hard to repair — they suit different kinds of work.

It depends on the use, the budget and the tone you want: teak stands up to sun and humidity, while makha is very hard and suits table tops. Compare them on our wood guide page, or ask our team to recommend one.

Janka is the force needed to press an 11.28 mm steel ball halfway into the wood. The higher the figure, the better the wood resists denting and wear, which suits flooring and stairs. The standard figure is measured at 12% wood moisture content.

Some species have no test result of their own, so we use a trade-group figure (the balau or keruing groups, for example) or a figure from plantation-grown timber in research, which may have been tested at a moisture content other than 12%. We state the moisture content (MC) at the time of testing for every figure. They are fine for a rough comparison, but should not be used as structural design values.

They are controlled under the CITES convention and/or Thai law, and trade and export are restricted. WisutWood shows the information for study and comparison only: we do not sell or quote these species, and we suggest legal alternatives such as padauk, daeng or makha mong with proper documentation.

There are many to choose from depending on the use and the budget. In stock right now are species such as takhian thong, sadao thiam and finger-jointed rubberwood (for furniture). Other popular species such as teak, padauk, daeng, teng and makha mong are quoted and sourced per job, and imported species such as white oak, walnut, ash and merbau are available too. Species controlled by law, such as phayung and ching chan, we do not sell — we suggest legal alternatives instead.

There are two systems to choose from. 1) Natural food-grade wax soaks into the wood, so you still see the grain and feel the real surface; it is safe for anything that touches food and suits homeware, everyday objects and smaller pieces. 2) A lacquer film builds a protective layer on the surface and resists water, heat and scratching far better, which suits heavy use in cafés and restaurants. You can also take the wood sanded smooth and unfinished. Yes. We use food-grade wax for work that touches food, such as chopping boards, serving trays and table tops that food is placed on. Let the wax dry and wipe off the excess before use. Clean with mild soapy water and dry it off; do not soak it or put it in a dishwasher.

A lacquer film handles splashes and drink stains well and can be wiped with a damp cloth. A wax finish is water-resistant to a degree, so wipe up spilt water or liquid straight away. With either system, do not let water stand on the surface, do not put very hot items directly on it, do not use harsh cleaning products, and keep indoor pieces out of strong sun and driving rain.

Re-wax when the surface starts to look dry, the colour fades, or water no longer beads on it. How often depends on the use: items used and washed often, such as boards and trays, need it more than decorative pieces. It is easy to do — sand lightly with fine paper, wipe on a thin coat of wax and wipe off the excess. You can do it yourself at home.

Table tops and counters that meet cold glasses, hot drinks and wiping all day long are best with a lacquer film, which resists water, heat and scratching better. For serving trays, chopping boards and anything that touches food directly, food-grade wax is the one. The same venue can use both systems side by side, and our team will advise based on how the place actually runs.

A wax finish is easy to repair yourself: sand the spot with fine paper and wipe on fresh wax, and the mark blends back into the surface. On a lacquer film, shallow marks in the film can be polished out, but a scratch that reaches the wood, or a lifting film, means stripping the old film and recoating — best left to an experienced finisher so the whole panel matches.

Yes. Wax takes fewer steps and less labour, so it is usually the more economical choice. A lacquer film involves several steps — grain filling, sanding back the raised grain, staining and several coats — so it costs more. Say the word and we switch it to natural food-grade wax or leave the piece sanded and unfinished; the price follows the system you choose, the surface area and the number of pieces. WisutWood is a licensed timber processing factory and can issue sawn timber control documents, transport permits and certificates of timber origin, so moving timber and handing over project work runs into no paperwork problems. You are welcome to see the documents before placing an order.

Our standard is to kiln dry timber to a moisture content of 8–12% (a target of around 10%). Timber dried to that standard shrinks, warps and splits far less after installation.

Kiln drying adds time and cost, and some of the timber is rejected when it warps during drying. In return it reduces gaps, warped panels and remedial work after handover, which usually costs more than the difference in the timber price.

Each piece is covered for 30 days after handover, under normal use. If a manufacturing problem appears within that period, send our team photos straight away. The warranty terms for each job are set out in the quotation.

Yes. We have an industrial kiln that dries timber to a standard moisture content of 8–12% (a target of around 10% plus or minus 2), which reduces shrinking, warping and splitting in use. We dry both the timber for our own made-to-order work and boards brought in by outside customers. Tell us the species, the thickness, the quantity or volume and the starting moisture content, and our team will assess the kiln schedule, the time and the service cost case by case.

We produce to the drawings and specification given. Send us construction or furniture drawings and our team will take off the quantities and quote.

Actual dimensions on every face, the timber species and grade, the coating system (furniture and individual pieces only — woodwork ships planed), how many repeat pieces are needed, and where the woodwork has to leave room for electrics or pipework. The more detailed the drawing, the more accurate the price and the work.

We can provide the company certificate and the Por Por 20 VAT registration (when a VAT tax invoice is needed). The company is VAT-registered and issues tax invoices and receipts, and we hold sawn timber control documents and transport permits for moving timber. Your procurement team has everything it needs to open us as a vendor.
