Woodwork to Architects' Drawings: Preparing Files and Specs
· WisutWood, full-cycle solid wood factory in Surat Thani · Wood knowledge and ordering
In short: Made-to-order work comes out right, and on schedule, when the drawing set carries complete real dimensions, the species, the coating system and the joinery details. WisutWood builds to architects' and designers' drawings — see how we work on our partner page.
Preparing a drawing set that is ready to build
- Real dimensions on every face (mm/cm), plus views and joint details
- Species and grade you want (compare them in the wood guide)
- Coating/finish system (furniture and finished pieces only — woodwork ships planed and unfinished)
- Quantities, and which items must be produced identically
- Service points (lighting, power, plumbing) the woodwork has to clear
Working with designers and contractors
The factory takes off the drawing and builds to spec, which suits teams that have their own installers — structural timber, flooring, wall cladding and interior built-in work alike. We deliver to site across upper southern Thailand, and large jobs in other regions ship by chartered truck (delivery). See work built to drawings.
Start with a preliminary price
Not ready to send the full drawing set? Run a preliminary estimate with dimensions and species first, then send the drawings for our team to take off and confirm the price.
Frequently asked questions
What drawing formats do you accept? Send whatever drawings or specs you have and our team can work from them; we'll tell you if we need more detail.
Can the drawings change during production? Finalise the drawings before production starts — changes mid-run add cost and time.
